the valuable benefit of this attack is that it only needs you to get 64 bit of known plain text from the network not more and its time complexity is 2^53.2 A5/1 Clock and its proven to work clearly with high success probability , although its not 1 its certainly more than any other type of cryptographic attack . this attack gives you several internal state candidate which helps you to clock back to a certain point and find your candidate Kc which with a simple test the real Kc will be known . the attack has a clear algorithm and flow chart which helps you understand the nature of attack , how it works and how to implement . while Sacha is right about the "attack time" where Tables are much faster i'm thinking about the other benefits of an attack .
