more suitable to 4 Velociraptors is a single 5850 at best.
The math goes like this:
8 * 40 * 51 = 16320 disk lookups per burst.
4 times (dunno) 5 ms seek time => 20 seconds for the disk accesses.
The 5850 can compute 37000 (18 * 64 * 32) chains before each core is
saturated and it takes
around 8 seconds to compute all the chains, so after 8 seconds you can
compute 40 seconds worth of disk accesses with it.

If you think, ok, the money saved on the GPU can be invested in flash memory,
then you are wrong, because with flash, you can do enough disk accesses
to saturate 1 or 2 5970s.
