Well, don't know how you come to this conclusion.
As I wrote, the last byte being zero does not mean the are using
COMP128. As a logical conclusion, we can also not be sure that it is
some other specific algorithm.

Maybe someone else has more knowledge on the used A3A8 algorithms.

That should be possible if
 - there was no channel hopping
 - you have a good recording

I've never tried it using airprobe.
There are some extra steps are required for converting GSM-06.03 audio
into an untoast-able file or for dumping AMR audio if your provider uses
it. You have to check if airprobe already does all these necessary steps.
