Hi Colin, I don't intend to do fulltime highly intensive GPGPU, but just study and experiment with Kraken from time to time, on a decent, compact and portable system.
And AFAIK, Kraken is not compatible with any last generation GPU (since it's CAL IL based, see previous threads). Main bottleneck source (tables I/O) should be adressed by now widely available high IOPS SDDs, isn't it ? I'd just like to get some decent performance (not waiting minutes for each busrt) on a laptop, and so, looking for advice about this specific GPU.
