This is actually in there but the source file doesn't trigger it. Try
removing a chord from a single-chord bar and you should see it. If I
were making this into a real program I would probably put in an option
to control whether it is done.

I don't think it is all that exciting but I might. If anybody else
wants to adopt this feel free -- it's only a 15-minute hack after all.
