The list server puts the "subscribe/ unsubscribe" message right after what we post without an intervening blank line, which messes up the way the tune is parsed. If a blank line is added, it makes it possible for software to parse the tune from the entire digest and also makes it easier for humans to find the end of the tune for copying and pasting it into our software. I asked Toby to add an initial blank line to the tag some time ago. I know he's very busy.
