Thanks, I think that's the trick I'd heard about before. It almost
works. What do you do for something like:
c f e/c/g/G/
w: * ~3~4 ~6
w: * .~2
where the 4 and the 2 are supposed to be between the f and the e/?
The problem is that ~ is a character only in the sense that it doesn't
cause a break, not in the sense that it takes up any room, so if you
have "* ~~2" in the second line of "lyrics", the 2 ends up under the 3
and not under the 4.
