I only became aware of its existence fairly recently, so I didn't use it
all that often yet. I used to do abc stuff in Vim since that was the
only editor I knew with abc syntax colouring or in Textpad on a Windows box.
Features include:
- font locking, of course;
- inserting a template for a tune (its header);
- support for abc tools (abc2ps, abc2abc)
When inserting a tune header, it asks for the tune type. According to
the one selected, the M and L field are filled out. Only a few choices
are specified, so you may want to tweak the code so there's more.
All in all, I believe abc-mode would benefit from some more work...
