>How can somebody on one of these systems use an emailed ABC file if >they aren't familiar enough with the notation to read the source? Didn't they tried the application abc2internetcafe.exe ? :) More seriously there is a java application that can display abc : http://www.execpc.com/~rdmiller/Java/abc.html It could works well from an internet cafe (it does not support more than 1 voice, and is still limited, but it can help). Copy and paste into this page http://www.execpc.com/~rdmiller/Java/abc.html your tunes and you'll be able to see them (but not hear them) I've made a copy of the jar-file on my webpage : http://anamnese.online.fr/abc/abc.jar (I guess one can get it the same way at http://www.execpc.com/~rdmiller/Java/abc.jar , but i'm not sure of the adress). If you download this single file on a computer (at work for example), you don't need to "install" any program. Just by opening it with winzip and extracting the files in a directory of your choice, you will be able later to display abc tunes received by email. Note : >Hotmail doesn't >even know how to display an attached GIF. I really doubt it : most webmails show attached images if we click on them (on their links). ___________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? -- Vos albums photos en ligne, Yahoo!
