Or more correctly: what the transcriber assumed a keyboard player would
have played. It's amazing how many "modern" early music editions there
are with continuo realizations written by people with absolutely no
knowledge about baroque style (which is bad, but acceptable) and no
sense of musicality whatsoever (which is disastrous).
