one of the things that make the world a nice place to live in are
preprocessors... my abcpp is 95% ready to translate old-style ABC to new ABC
and vice versa, I actually use it for this purpose. It only works on Linux
and Windows though. No Mac support until someone compiles it on that
platform.

unless there's a simple way to convert heaps of old-style ABC to new-style
ABC, that is. Once such a tool is ready, I sincerely don't see any reason
why we shouldn't use the new ABC instead of the old one.
