Indeed it is, but note that the reason composers actually use double
sharps and double flats instead of naturals is to make it easier to
identify the chords and chord progressions.  I understand, being a
player myself, that it's easier when playing to read =g than __a , but
please do keep in mind that reducing accidentals results in a loss of
information that some people would consider important.
