Yes.  Also, this list is really for the discussion  of  abc,  not  of
tunes.  It's easy to understand how one could lead to the other.  But
there's a "tradtunes" list that is  a  better  place  for  discussing
tunes, research, and such.  It's at
  http://groups.yahoo.com/group/tradtunes/
This list was started by Johnny Adams, who is a music historian.  The
list is explicitly "a place where people can swap  tunes  in  abc  or
midi  format, show off their new tunes, seek forgotten tunes, ask for
information on the history of tunes, ..."

The tradtunes list has been low-volume lately, and it could use a few
good discussions.  Hint, hint ....
