No, same problem exists under 10.1/QT 5.0.2. I don't have a solution for it. The Sound manager beep works OK, tunes exported at Quicktime Movies and played with QT Player work OK, but nothing played within the program (using several different playing methods) works. Reboot in Classic (the real Mac OS) if you want to play. Just one more thing about OS X that sucks big time.
