There are a number of abc-to-image converters (abcm2ps, yaps, abc2mtex; try the ABC Home Page for pointers) - but I suspect you may run into this problem with all of them. I think it comes about because they are, notionally, preparing a printable sheet of paper, fitting the image into actual physical boundaries. So if you don't want to work with multiple pages, you have to tweak the parameters the program's working with so that everything will fit on one page. I've just played around with sizes in abc2ps's format file, and I get "PS output exceeds reserved space per staff -- increase BUFFSZ1". Which means recompiling.
