The comparison of tunes is a subject that comes up from time to time. I've been playing with it. This is most emphatically not a major software breakthrough, believe me, but it's a start. I have compared the contents of John's Village Music Project (whatever ABCs were available), plus some stuff from my own Tunebook (Aird, Winder, a few other scraps).
