For Macs, there's a wonderful answer in PrintToPDF, a $20 shareware package that can be found at: http://www.jwwalker.com/pages/pdf.html It works like a printer driver. You put it in your extensions folder, choose it in the chooser and when you print any file it makes a pdf instead of driving a printer. It even sets up a desktop icon for drag-and-drop use. The author claims in his FAQs that Adobe has no objection to any of this. Two limitations: 1) it only works on Macintoshes and 2) it doesn't embed fonts, and only works with a small number of ubiquitous fonts. All others will either be replaced with the standard fonts or converted to bitmaps (at the user's discretion, of course). It's great for graphics, however. ______ /\/\/\/\ <______> | | | | | David Barnert <______> | | | | | <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> <______> | | | | | Albany, N.Y. <______> \/\/\/\/ Ventilator Concertina Bellows Bellows (Vocation) (Avocation) To subscribe/unsubscribe, point your browser to: http://www.tullochgorm.com/lists.html
