Well for what its worth from a brand new subscriber, I would vote for allowing only subscribers to post! That is the way it is on most lists of all sorts. And perhaps your list needs to implement some message filters of somesort to block receiption from spammers. I know these morons jump addresses as soon as one is blocked, but the filters at least slow them down a bit.
