Okay. So here's what I'm interested in...
I want to build an application that depicts classical
dance via language scripts and a musical score (piano).
>From the music and language, 1 or 2 dancers would be
animated before your very eyes.
I know the language of classical dance. I know how to
read music. I know how to program a variety of computer
languages. The other stuff, I'm learning as I go.
I'm planning on using abc music for the stored music
format to both play and display the music. So, in this
case, the music is read then displayed _and_ played (with
callbacks to other parts of my app for timing control).
My target platform is Mac OS X using Objective-C and
various frameworks there. But along the way, I'm likely
to need to build intermediate tools for both Squeak
<www.squeakland.org> and Python <www.python.org>.
Both of these are quite cross platform yet quite rich for
rapid application development and prototyping.
Is anybody working on Sqeak or Python versions of abc music?
Thanks,
Jeff Sz.
