It's not contrary to the abc standard (which as usual is pretty hazy on the subject), but it won't necessarily work right in all programs. BarFly is even worse than iabc in this respect because it won't linebreak except on a bar line, so the last three lines of the tune get run together, with the three lines of lyrics below.
