Recordare have some example files, but they're all just the first
page of various classical piano pieces (they'd like you to pay
for the full music). Virtual Composer can export MusicXML, and
there's a plugin for Finale which imorts and exports it. Only
for the PC version at the moment, but the mac version is coming.
That's the main attraction, since quite a few BarFly users also
use Finale.

Pipex don't do anonymous ftp, as far as I know. You can enter
the url as ftp://www.barfly.dial.pipex.com/BarFly1v3.sit
in your browser, but I expect the same thing will happen.

In order to set the downloaded file type under OS 9 you use the
Internet control panel, click the 'Advanced' tab and the File Mapping
option, then set the extension '.sit' to Stuffit Expander. Under
older systems I think you had to use Internet Config, but I don't
remember the details.

I thought I'd save everybody a bit of download time (and me quite
a lot of upload time) by uploading a binary file rather than a
BinHex file this time (works OK for me), so I hope it doesn't lead
to a lot of complaints.
