Actually the "perfect pitch" joke (here in a simpler version) is
actually a joke function:
joke(X_) = Perfect pitch: the ability to throw X_ into a
dumpster without hitting the sides.
Of course: X_ is replaced by an element of the set {an accordion, a
banjo, a viola,...}
This raises the question of the natural domain of this function.
For example, I contend "up" is in the domain (try it!)
Yes there are mathematicians who are musicians. And some like me who
do a mediocre imitation of both. (and maybe an even more mediocre
imitation of Zouki.)
