So even a big abc collection, e.g. mine which is 654 kB, would only require about 11 MB total for having abc, gif and midi. This is much better IMO than loading down the CPU with conversions. I run a web server myself at work, and I would rather have an abc collection taking 11 or even 110 MB than have it bog down the CPU with programs to run for every GIF or MIDI download.
