Hello all, I thought there was a consensus that chords with different lengths, e g [aD2], should be treated as having the length of the first note in the chord.
| Another historic moment! Phil and Bryan and I all agree on | something! Put it in the standard, quick, before we lose it! But the standard still says: | All the notes within a chord should have the same length. More | complicated chords can be transcribed with the & operator, see | section Voice overlay. | | Some packages allow chords with notes of different lengths. | However, currenly the semantics of such chords are not well- | defined and differ from package to package. Is this going to be changed? (IMHO, this "feature" would be just *great*! It solves many cases of a single chord in a bar, where the & notation should be rather clumsy and unreadable) Erik To subscribe/unsubscribe, point your browser to: http://www.tullochgorm.com/lists.html
