Same to me. With 3.7.1 the "]" just produces a thick line and has no effect to the repeat-line. After some testings I found out that it only works (reaching the end AND closing the bracket) if the ending is a ":|" or ":]" But in NO way a repeat bracket "survives" (after) a newline! Looks like a real bug...
