What syntax? I have no idea yet. But something like the various
accompiment styles in Band-in-a-box, except for figured bass and baroque music would be what I have in mind. Jack Campin wrote: Please note that http://www.normanschmidt.net/abassc.php is a very simple abc program at an early stage of developement. Rendering figured bass lines will be the next priority.Using what syntax? I don't recall this being discussed in detail.Nor has the semantics been discussed. It's not at all obvious how far a player program should be required to go in emulating what a knowledgeable performer would want to do with these. For starters, what source(s) are you using as a dictionary? Good idea to do this, but a bit of preliminary clarification is needed. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jack Campin: 11 Third Street, Newtongrange, Midlothian EH22 4PU; 0131 6604760 <http://www.purr.demon.co.uk/jack> * food intolerance data & recipes, Mac logic fonts, Scots traditional music files, and my CD-ROM "Embro, Embro". ------> off-list mail to "j-c" rather than "abc" at this site, please <------ To subscribe/unsubscribe, point your browser to: http://www.tullochgorm.com/lists.html |
