In general, I like this approach, however, the patch does not change all the
pieces necessary for this to work and i simply do not have the time right now
to flush out all the details myself. I might be able to get to it later this
week. However, if you'd like to take a whack at updating the patch to resolve
all the issues, I'd likely be able to get it in faster.
