I am not a programmer, but I am enough of one that I may not fit the role
of the kind of person we want to target. For me, I find PERL fairly
intuitive. For those things I don't find intuitive, I can look through
tons of documentation and examples. A language such as ASP just drives me
nuts.
If I could have it my way, the scripting language of choice would be PERL,
but I don't have as clear a picture as Eric regarding all of the issues
that need to be considered. I don't know what it would take to tie it in,
or how difficult it would be to do thing such as bring up dialogs.
It's not that I am suggesting PERL be used; I am suggesting that the syntax
of PERL is not necessarily clumsy for non-coders.
