Well, 3.3.3 is quite old. :) Usually, you can replace just the server
executable (at least for testing) and everything will work fine between
minor revisions of XFree. Of course, this depends on the availability of
such an executable for your platform. :)
I've only used X with the Voodoo3 through the Linux kernel's 3Dfx framebuffer
driver (which was slow, but drew things correctly).
