sorry, i've never seen this error.  i'm using egcs 2.91.57 and gtk+ 1.1.15.
could you provide a little more detail on your system and configuration.

also, we posted 0.5.2 yesterday afternoon. (althought that shouldn't affect
the loader problems you're seeing)
