As I understand it, AbiWord is intended to be a cross platform
wordprocessor, I would like to know if using a cross platform library as
wxWindows has been envisionned ?

wxWindows is a superset of many libraries including Gtk

Plase have a look as this excellent link I believe from someone who has
finally setled to use wxWindows after going studying qt and harmony.
