YES!

Tell me about it :(. When I "permanently fixed the bug" about a year
ago, I had to go through the code in fl_BlockLayout and if (...) out
all code that tried to spell check code.
It really could be much cleaner, as evidenced by the fact that the bug
got clumsily reintroduced at some point.
