   My prompt said bash-2.02$ as well, so don't assume that /bin/sh.exe is
what cygwin is executing by default. :)  Actually, if you're starting cygnus
through cygnus.bat it executes bash, which comes out of
/cygnus/cygwin-b20/H-i586-cygwin32/bin/, not out of /bin/.

   Does /bin/sh.exe exist on your machine?  Are the permissions set
correctly?
