Anything with a UT_ prefix is defined in the following portion of the tree:

  abi/src/af/util

As the comment at the top of any of those files says:

  AbiSource Program Utilities

Or, quoting from abi/src/af/readme.txt:

  util
        Source code for general-purpose utility functions.
