I'm running Mandrake 7.0 and have been building from source for a while now.
The C++ libraries are in packages libstdc++-devel-2.95.2-3mdk,
libstdc++-devel-2.95.2-3mdk, libg++-2.7.2.8-9, and libstdc++-compat-2.95.2-3mdk.

I found that AbiWord will not build or install on a Mandrake 5.3 system. It
will install if the libc and libstdc++ packages are upgraded to what's in 7.0.
