Who wrote this file: http://www.abisource.com/dev/design/PieceTable.html Presumably it's what AbiWord was designed from and not just a writeup after analyzing existing code?!?! It's a great text. It made everything clear in a way I've not seen it before. If I get bored over Xmas, I'll rethink the suggestion I made for a change of design (for a more robust backend and proper support for showing formatting codes). The doc really belongs in the doc directory, not in some obscure and non-referenced directory on the web site. Jesper
