installation on slackware

The slackware tgz package from:

http://www.abisource.com/dl_linux_intel.phtml#tgz

installs but does not execute...

~/pkg/gnome
$ installpkg abisuite-0.7.12.i386.tgz
Installing package abisuite-0.7.12.i386.tgz... 


~/pkg/gnome
$ abiword
/usr/bin/AbiWord_d: error while loading shared libraries:
libstdc++-libc6.2-2.so.3: cannot open shared object file: No such file
or directory       ^

This is true; libstdc++-libc6.1-2.so.3 is installed on my machine.  I am
running slackware7.1, icewm, gnome.
