Yeah, what Martin said, or try this:

rpm --force --nodeps abiword.rpm

GTK is binary compatible throughout the 1.2.x series, so it won't matter 
really. All 'x' releases are just bugfixes. My putting in '7' for 'x' there 
was because I think that GTK before 1.2.7 is a little too buggy. Feel free 
to either upgrade GTK or force the rpm.
