You can now build Abi using expat as a shared library, provided that
your shared librar location is called /usr/lib, or /usr/local/lib. I
believe I am correct in presuming that the odds of having a shared
library version of expat already installed on other kinds of systems
are very small.

Just give the command:

        make ABI_OPT_SHARED_EXPAT=1

This option won't be needed once we use expat 1.95, which is the
latest version. That's the next project.

Made expat usable as a system library. To use this, use the
ABI_OPT_SHARED_EXPAT option, and have in the usual location.
