On BeOS actually it is alt-Q. Conversion (ctrl to alt) is done on the fly by 
ev_BeOSMenu::synthesize(). 

On MacOS it is command-Q. Conversion will be done the same way too. 

Atl-F4 IS also valid on Windows to quit an app. <grin>
