I've changed the state of bug #670 as a duplicate of
#643 ( as the attached comment to it implied ).
BTW, the bug #536 ( an old crash report ) has an
attached test case ( the document which supposedly
crashes abiword on load ), but the test case cannot be
downloaded from bugzilla (it's linked to a local URL).
Can anyone provide this file or should the bug be
closed as there's no other known way to reproduce it?

abi's bugzilla?
