Yes, the fonts in 'unixfonts' are ghostscript fonts.
Debian package could ship symlinks to ghostscript fonts (symlink for each
*.pfa and .afm file) and all *.u2g files from 'unixfonts' module (they are
very small). But shipping one symlink named 'fonts' to the directory
where ghostscript fonts are installed is a bad idea (since subdirectories with
locale-specific fonts will be placed in that directory - that can be
considered bad thing).
