Hi Tom,
        From this and your other email I just wanted to check that your
are aware of the distinction between:

"Backgrounf color" the menu item (If you choose non-white and print your
page will come out the color you choose, and web pages you generate will
will come out the color you choose).

And the "set screen color to other than white" preference item. All this
does is change the abiword screen color as you type. If you print the doc
it will come out white. If you export the to doc to HTML it will be the
usual dull grey.
