I need some advice on interpreting paragraphs in an importer.
In a plain text file a paragraph is delimited by a linebreak at the
end of a paragraph. It looks like to create a paragraph in AbiWord
we must call Document->appendStrux(PTX_Block, NULL) first to create
the paragraph, followed by Document->appendSpan() to put the text
into the paragraph.
I'm having a little trouble getting my head around it so a
knowlegable person would be helpful. The existing text importer has
a few edge cases which indicate that I'm not the only one having
a hard time. Bug 894 is the obvious one. The importer also
doesn't preserve a linebreak at the end of a file properly and
opening a file behaves a little differently from pasting.
New OO text importer is on the way... Hope somebody can help.
