It's the Indian equivalent of ASCII. It supprts 10 (I think) major
Indian languages. No operating systems use it as a native encoding
so no iconv support, but I'm told all major Indian editing software
use it as an interchange format. MS Word also supports it.
This is a good case for a plugin that shouldn't be installed by
default. Can the plugin manager handle optional plugins yet?
