I think the problem was actually the second hard drive (/space), or so
the logs seemed to indicate (SCSI id 4). All the IBMs are identical,
so I just umounted it and did a "dd if=/dev/sdb of=/dev/sdd" (sdd being
a spare drive) and changed the fstab. Everything seems to be back where it
was (logically, anyway; the data are on another drive), and the original
drive is still around.
We'll see if this fixes the problems.
