Autoconf error on Mac OS X

I am to build Abiword on Mac OS X and using autoconf like BUILD.TXT says. But 
when I do autoconf all I get is this

configure.in:344: warning: AC_TRY_RUN called without default to allow 
cross compiling

Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?
