It didn't come off as a flame - but as a bit demanding :) which is hard to take seriously since we all spend our precious spare time on the project. But we _do_ appreciate the feedback. Please post it to the list in the future though. ray> AbiWord has evolved nicely. Remember - as the polish becomes ray> evident, more people will use AbiWord for "mission critical ray> blabla" tasks, and expectations among those users will rise. True. But that doesn't buy us any more time to add polish. Many users will be coming from commercial WPs and expect the same polish in AbiWord - which is just not going to happen for a foreseeable future without additional developers and/or funding of some sort. So for some time we'll have to try and educate users about the level of polish and support they can and should expect. It may be quite a lot for the price, but it may still be disappointing for some. Things should improve over time though. Incidently, we now have a new nice user-oriented web page. Maybe you (being a writer) would be willing to help Jared add a page about what I just outlined above. I'm sure you get the gist of it, and you're in a unique position to rewrite it so other newcomers will understand it the right way (i.e., not be pissed off by the fact that there are only 15 or so developers willing to spend their precious time on AbiWord). Thanks, Jesper
