There are 22 little-endian hash files in abispell but only 3 big-endian.
(1) How easy is it to convert between the two formats?
(2) Why can't it be done at run-time?
In addition, on darwin the wrong (i.e., LE) hash file is installed. Is
this true of builds on all big-endian architectures?
