Hi, this to confirm Martin's report that the 0.9.6.1 tarball at SF is not usable:
http://www.abisource.com/mailinglists/abiword-dev/01/December/0194.html And I would also like to enquire about alternatives to the very dead directory where nightly Linux builds used to be offered. I understand that this is a volunteer effort, etc. However, this effort to some (some would say large) extent depends on user feedback. And it's rather hard to provide that on Linux nowadays if you don't decide to create a CVS mirror, which I for one won't do for months to come, given my relatively slow connection and restricted disk space at work and the 14400 pay connection at home... and I bet I'm not the only potential feedback provider in this situation. :-( Would someone please consider setting up either a directory with nightly builds or at least a place where you would leave CVS source tarballs, in your free time, maybe even every few days if it's not possible as an automated service? Thanks in advance for considering this, Piotr P.S. Ah, to be sure, even if the 0.9.6.1 tarball gets fixed, it would be *great* to be able to download the *current* CVS snapshot, as there's been quite a lot of activity in the meantime... :-)
